Introduction to Qi Gong

5 week Series Tuesdays at 8:15 am starting January 7th

Series Description:

In this five week series you will be introduced to four pillars of Qi Gong practice. While relatively easy to learn, the power within this practice will provide a foundation for health and vitality and a path for spiritual development. Each week for four weeks we will focus on one pillar, culminating in a complete practice on week five. All levels are welcome to this calmly energizing practice which will emphasize mindfulness of mind, body and breath. Andrew will be looking forward to meeting you for this transformative experience!

Andrew is a Qi Gong Teacher and Feng Shui Practitioner with over twenty years of experience in the healing arts. Inspired by the Shaolin and Daoist traditions, his daily Qi Gong training has confirmed the power of this practice to calm the mind and strengthen the body from the inside out. Andrew is excited to share this training with anyone looking to support their spiritual and bodily health. His dynamic classes will leave you feeling calm, centered and energized.

6 Week Series Thursdays 8:05-8:55 am Starting January 9th

In this six week series you will be introduced to Ba Duan Jin Qi Gong (Eight-Part Treasure

Form), one of the most powerful practices for health originating from the Shaolin Temple of Zen.

This mind-body workout for longevity includes flexibility training, internal martial art stances and

Shaolin self-massage. Ba Duan Jin Qi Gong can be adapted to suit any life stage and develops

robust health through the power of breathwork and movement. Clearly presented in-class

experiences will be supplemented by video learning tutorials and downloads that can be

practiced at home. Beginners are welcome. Please join Andrew of FLOW Wellness in this

time-tested tradition of spiritual strength and optimal wellness!

YOGA SOMATICS & MYOFASCIAL

Yoga, Somatics & Myofascial Release

Description: 

A slow-paced, yin style, therapeutic workshop exploring gentle somatic movement and the connective tissue (fascia) that weaves everything in your body together as one. Your fascia is a living, sensing, liquid crystalline seam system that has a tremendous influence on our body, movement, pain, and self-awareness.

The focus of our time together will be on self-myofascial release practices, using specialty massage balls, therapeutic yoga poses, and conscious movement where the emphasis is on the internal experience over the external appearance of movements or postures.

These somatic, myofascial, and yoga practices are designed to soften tension patterns, enhance resilience in your body, increase self-awareness and activate the relaxation response, leaving you feeling restored and radiant from the inside out.

This workshop is appropriate for all levels. No previous experience needed.

About Jahara Sara Seitz, MOT, OTR/L, E-RYT: 

Jahara is a somatic occupational therapist and yoga teacher with specialty training in trauma-informed care, craniosacral therapy, sensory integration, energy work, myofascial release, and body-mind therapy. She is committed to helping people of all ages move through the world with greater freedom in their body and a connection to the radiance within.

As a life-long creative movement artist, Jahara is devoted to forever growing in her understanding of the body-mind-soul connection and encouraging others to unabashedly stand for what feels true.

With a natural grace and intuitive approach, Jahara is a facilitator of healing, therapist, and teacher who is spiritually oriented, capable of seamlessly unifying principles of trauma-informed somatics and a philosophy that embodies a celebration of the divine radiance and wisdom within us all.

It’s a balance, it is about bringing the body and mind in a state of homeostasis. It’s a blend between a few essential elements ….

It’s fluidity & range of motion, hydration of the connective tissue, it multi facet strengthening, it’s dumping the excess lymph, it is increasing circulation, supporting the nervous system and respiratory system.

Essentially holistic health takes into consideration the whole person.

How well is your range of motion/flexibility, your strength, bone health, how well are you breathing, how fit is your mind, & how well is your nervous system operating.

Class will include discussion and practice

We will cover the 5 pts. of yoga Proper exercise, breathing, nutrition, relaxation, positive thinking/meditation

You will understand the yoga postures, modifications, and how to navigate classes at the studio.

Weekly Candlelight Sound Bath

THURSDAYS 6:45 pm

Sound healers rotate with different sound healers. Enjoy Tea to settle in and pick out a inspirational card to start the sacred night. A warm space inviting space and props are provided for a relaxing experience. It is candlelight, and light projection for a magical experience an ambiance. The Sound journey is 60 min and is by donation. A variety of sound healing instruments, guided meditation and breath work and ceremony.
